KDoubles Take: Why Dean Ambrose is the best in the WWE today…

As I look at the current roster that the WWE has to work with today, I think to my self that there is a gap in between the older guys (Orton, Cena, Kane, ect…) and the incoming younger guys (Bray Wyatt, Rollins, Reigns, ect…). This gap creates a space in the show where you have good matches but not great matches. You only get great match every once in awhile in the WWE; most of those are saved for the PPV’s. The RAW’s have become kind of mediocre at best, I find myself saying “That wasn’t so bad “When I should be saying wow that is awesome!! The remedy to this is rather simple… More Dean Ambrose!!...

The guy is one of the most reliable performers that they have in the WWE. He delivers week in and week out. No matter who you put him in the ring with Luke Harper or John Cena Ambrose is going to deliver. The fans love him when his music hits the roof is blown off of any arena that they are at. So the WWE Universe has spoken yet again and they love them some lunatic fringe, are the writers at the WWE going to take advantage of this roll or are they going to misuse him like they have so many others before!! We will have to wait and see on that one, but in my opinion he is the best thing they have going now…

TRIU: WWE Extreme Rules (04/26/15) PPV Review…

All State Arenas in Rosemont, ILL (4/26/15)

This is expected to be one of the hottest cards in awhile for the WWE. Extreme Rules is to be headlined by Rollins vs Orton in a Steel Cage!! That alone is worth the price of admission; we also get to start out with a Chicago Street Fight between Dean Ambrose and Luke Harper…

Singles Match (Chicago Street Fight) Dean Ambrose vs Luke Harper (Winner: No contest) – These two begin going at It before Harper even hits the ring. These two beat the hell out of each other and use everything within reach. They battle inside and out the ring until they both climb into a car and drive off out of the arena…

We now go backstage where HHH tells Kane to find Ambrose & Harper before they get sued. Enter Rollins to complain about Kane throwing him into a spear. They start arguing and HHH intervenes and calms things down. Kane then assures HHH and Rollins he will do whats best for business. Next up we have the Kiss My Arse match, Dolph Ziggler against Sheamus…

Singles Match (Loser must kiss winners Arse) Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus (Winner: Dolph Ziggler by Pinfall) – This was brutal match that was dominated by Sheamus. He beat Ziggler around the ring and exchanged some serious shots. In the end Ziggler wins with the most devastating finisher in wrestling…the roll up!! After the match Sheamus tried to avoid kissing Zigglers arse, in the end he got down and pretended to be willing to do it before hitting him with a crotch shot and a brogue kick. Sheamus then makes Ziggler kiss his arse…

After a video promo for the upcoming shows on the network this week, next up Is the Tag Team championship match between New Day and Kidd & Cesaro…

Tag Team Match (Tag Team title match) The New Day vs © Kidd & Cesaro (Winner: The New Day by Pinfall) – This was a classic tag match with a lot of back and forth between the teams. In the end a distraction by Natasha slapping Xavier Woods, This allowed Kofi to roll up Cesaro and get the win and the tag team championships for the 1st time…

We now cut to the panel and they are discussing the new tag champs and they discuss the fact that Daniel Bryan was unable to compete. This forced Barrett to face off with Neville on the Pre Show match. We now have a backstage promo with the NEW tag team champs The New Day!!.  They are interrupted by a returning Harper and Ambrose…

Singles Match (Chicago Street Fight Cont…) Dean Ambrose vs Luke Harper (Winner: Dean Ambrose) – The match continues out into the ring where both Harper and Ambrose begin to attack each other with chairs and whatever else they could find. In the end Ambrose hits Harper with Dirty Deeds on some chairs to get the pin and the win…

We now see a replay of Cena winning the US Title at WM31 and the ensuing John Cena US Title Open challenge. So the next match has to be the Russian Chain Match between © John Cena and Rusev…

Singles Match (Russian Chain Match for the US Title) © John Cena vs Rusev (Winner: © John Cena) – Both Cena and Rusev come out to mixed reaction. The match itself was pretty good both guys beat the snot out of each other using the chain and you had several suspenseful moments where it looked as if Rusev was going to gain his revenge!! In the end Cena was able to hold Rusev off long enough to hit him with the AA and touch the 4th corner for the win…

We now go to a couple of commercials advertising things on the Network this week. We come back to a backstage interview with Roman Reigns. He talks about how the Big Show has tortured him in recent weeks and he has survived. He said he will be the last man standing. Next up is the Diva’s title match between Naomi and Nikki Bella…

Singles Match (Diva’s Title Match) ©Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella vs. Naomi (Winner: ©Nikki Bella via Pinfall) – Both Diva’s had some great moments in this match. At several times I thought that Naomi was really going to win the title!! In the end it took 2 Bella’s to beat 1 Naomi, Brie kicks Naomi in the head allowing Nikki to hit her with the Rack attack and get the win…

We now go to a backstage segment where Rusev is yelling at Lana and sends her into HHH’s office to get him a rematch. Then we get a promo package about the rivalry between Big Show and Roman Reigns over the past few weeks. Next up is the Last Man standing match between Roman Reigns and the Big Show…

Singles Match (Last Man Standing) Big Show vs. Roman Reigns (Winner: Roman Reigns via 10 counts) – This was another brutal match as both men beat the hell out of each other. Of course the match was dominated by Show for the most part. Reigns had his moments when he made a comeback but couldn’t keep the giant down. In the end he had to spear Show onto a announce table and flip another announce table onto him to get the 10 count on the world’s largest athlete…

We now have a backstage segment between Kane and Randy Orton as they discuss Kane’s roll in tonight’s main event. WWE then runs a spot showing some of the recent entries for this year’s Tough Enough. We go in ring and get Bo Dallas in ring talking to the Chicago crowd and telling them to Bolieve. That is until he is joined by Ryback who squashes Dallas and celebrates with the crowd…We return from commercial and Rusev is complaining and Lana announces that Rusev will face Cena at Payback in a I Quit Match. Next up is our Steel Cage Match with no RKO as Seth Rollins and Randy Orton face off for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship…

Singles Match (Steel Cage Match, RKO is banned) © Seth Rollins vs Randy Orton (Winner: © Seth Rollins via Cage Escape) – In a main event for the ages these two went at it with Randy having the upper hand through most of the match. J&J attempted to interfere and they are stopped by Kane. Kane then stops Orton from getting out the ring and allows Rollins to get the advantage. In the end Kane snaps and hits Randy with a choke slam and Rollins hits Orton with a RKO to knock him out and crawl out of the ring….

Overall Grade: B+

KDouble’s Take: Why the tag team division needs the Dudley Boys…

Let’s take a look at the tag team division as it stands today, you have the current champs The New Day. These guys are finally picking up some traction with this gimmick, so it’s good to have the belts on their waist. Then behind the champs you have Kidd & Cesaro, Los Matadores, The Uso’s, The Ascension and the Lucha Dragons. None of these teams jump off the page to me and neither do they for the WWE Universe. None of them have that pop that makes fans want to jump out of their seat. The only teams worth a damn in the division are PTP and The Uso’s these two teams make up the best of the best in this division and that is sad….

Now what would the Dudleys bring to the division? Well how about some excitement and much needed attention. There aren’t many people in general that are as intense on the mic as Bubba Ray is in general. I think that would bring an edge back to the division. Imagine having Bubba Ray And Devon debut at a PPV and destroy the 2 teams that are competing for the WWE Tag Titles. They could come in lay waste to the teams and Bubba could get on the mic and announce that the Dudley are back and that they have inserted themselves firmly into the middle of the tag team title picture. From there you could take it anywhere and trust me when I say that the Dudley’s would make it interesting. So WWE needs to bring them back to invigorate what is currently lacking and recycled…

KDouble’s Take: WWE NXT and what it means to the future of the WWE…

What started out what feels like forever ago, actually started only 3 years ago. NXT was a little side show that they did to introduce new young wrestlers like Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett. Now even though the reality tv aspect of the show was removed altogether. I liked this because it was a alternative within the same company to watch talent grow from the infant stages of their WWE career to full blown successes on the main roster. Let’s take a look at a couple of guys who already have and I think will have success on the main roster…

#1 The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowand) – The former Husky Harris and son of the man known as the IRS in the late 80’s, he went back to full sail university and repackaged himself as Bray Wyatt. On the new NXT Bray was the leader of a new faction, the Wyatt’s were a force to be reckoned with and with the help of Erick Rowand and Luke Harper Bray was able to reinvent himself and make his mark on the main roster. So much so that he recently faced off with the Dead man at the grandest stage of them all!! He doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon…

#2 The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose) – These three came into the WWE about 3 years ago as a force of nature. As much as I enjoyed the tough look the random attacks and feuds really started to make no sense. Someone got the point and split up this tight knit team, the result has us with 3 potential top guys. Seth is currently on his 1st championship run as the Heavyweight champ. Dean and Roman are still in the picture and face off with Seth in Fatal 4 Way at the next PPV…

#3 Neville, Sami Zayne and Paige – Both are former WWE NXT Heavyweight champions, and both look to make an impact on the main roster. Neville has already had a couple of high profile matches with the likes of Wade Barrett and the champ himself Seth Rollins. And Sami well he just made his debut in his home country in the “John Cena US Title challenge”. So they both look to have bright futures in this business and look to give the main roster the injection of fresh young talent that it needs…
